Berlin, April 30 - In the middle of the cherry blossom season, the restaurant and event location W66 by Wild & Wiese at the Museum of Communication in Berlin opened its doors this evening with a brilliant grand opening event.
Under the motto "Cherry Blossoms", more than 400 people, including numerous celebrities, celebrated not only the opening of Berlin's new it-place and its culinary creations, but also spring fever and the magic of thousands of cherry blossoms. The artistic eye-catcher of the evening was provided by the acrobatic group Fantasma, who performed breathtaking feats above the heads of the guests in the iconic atrium of the former Post Ministry.
However, the pink carpet in the historic building on Leipziger Strasse was the first eye-catcher: the guests were dressed in pastel looks and floral styles - perfectly in keeping with the theme. At the entrance, there were also flower wreaths on their heads, selfies in front of the eight-meter-long press wall and plenty of glamour.
An evening full of spring fever that even numerous celebrities couldn't resist. Among them: actresses Jenny Elvers, Sina and Sarah Tkotsch and Rebecca Kunikowski, presenters Natascha Ochsenknecht, Klaudia Giez and Eva Imhof, "Let's Dance" pro Isabell Edvardsson, Bachelor Daniel Völz, model Toni Dreher, former world-class gymnast Philipp Boy, podcaster Leila Lowfire and Tiktok stars Helge Mark and Felix Nieder and his grandmother Waltraud Bräuß.
Cherry blossoms, spring fever and an unforgettable evening
Spring was celebrated in the new food hotspot Berlin and in the adjacent, light-flooded atrium of the museum. The reception was accompanied by Juliane Eller's Juwel wines and a finger food reception, followed by an elegant flying dinner. An excerpt from the spring & summer menu at W66. In a short speech, Managing Director Christian Wilke from Berlin premium caterer Wild & Wiese presents the idea behind W66 - the first restaurant of its own.
New hotspot in Berlin-Mitte
The restaurant itself, right next to the atrium, was also extensively admired: stylish, elegant, a little trendy. No wonder the guests partied late into the night with cherry blossom vibes and a live set by Kid Simius, the neoclassical trio Aentropia and Caren Callas.
