Berlin, May 2025 - Neukölln is getting a boost in terms of caffeine and coffee culture: from May, LAP Coffee will enrich the new Berlin food market KALLE HALLE on Karl-Marx-Straße. In the new culinary-cultural hub, LAP Coffee is the place for a clear head in the morning, a regenerative lunch break or simply for a creative kick in between. With specialty coffee, smart design and a flair for spontaneous indulgence.
The interior is minimalist, the atmosphere is relaxed, the coffee is damn good and the price is fair: LAP stands for "Life Among People" - and that's exactly what LAP Coffee is all about: nobody is a stranger here for long, you quickly become part of the community. This is where the neighborhood meets for a quick espresso, the latest gossip or just to forget the time over fluffy milk foam. Instead of coffee-to-go with a cardboard lid and a hectic pace, here you can take a break from everyday life, both large and small. Also on the go, but not at random. In addition to the classic range from Americano to filter coffee, creative and seasonal creations such as blueberry matcha on ice, coconut matcha with a light and airy milk cloud or protein-rich caffeine boosters are making a name for themselves. In summer, Strawberry Cloud Matcha, among others, is a pink delight.
SOOT Bar
What begins as a chilled out stop-off for foodies during the day continues seamlessly into the evening: the SOOT Bar brings drinks with attitude and without airs and graces to the Kalle Halle. Responsible action and happy hour don't have to be mutually exclusive! If you like natural wine, original cocktails and a relaxed vibe, this is the place for you. Signature drinks such as the floral "Rosie" (rose water plus cocoa), the fruity "Lime Freizeit" (sparkling with raspberry vinegar) or the strong "Date Alle" (date meets vermouth) mix up traditions and show that you can be a winner: Those who dare to taste, win! SOOT is already a permanent fixture in the hall - a second bar with a pool table and DJs is being planned. Both bars focus on affordable quality, good music and a friendly atmosphere. Whether for an after-work drink, a first date or simply because it's the right time - SOOT invites you to come and stay.
KALLE HALLE continues to grow
Since its soft opening in April, KALLE HALLE has grown into a new meeting place in the Kiez with twelve international restaurants, two bars, a Kidz Zone and a cultural program of DJ nights, art exhibitions and pop-ups. Restaurants such as Earth Tokyo, Chettinad and PrawnP()rn are already waiting in the wings for all those who want to taste, hear and see Berlin. To be continued!
