On November 21, the hotel will open its doors in the immediate vicinity of the family-friendly hiking and skiing area of Brixen/Plose in South Tyrol. The first designated family hotel of the Sanoner family, which runs the well-known hotel group ADLER Spa Resorts & Lodges, is planned as a family retreat close to nature, where the focus is on experiencing and relaxing together.
"When we acquired the property in 2007, we wanted to create an ADLER Spa Resort. As it is a large plot of land in a very attractive and green area, we accepted a lengthy approval process. When the time came a good 10 years later and all the hurdles had been overcome, times had changed, the group had grown and so had the needs of the guests. We first had to think about where the journey in Mellaun should now take us. We were strongly inspired by the surroundings, which are perfect for a family vacation: the landscape is characterized by traditional farms, comfortably grazing cows and a dreamlike mountain world, which can be easily reached with the Plose cable car. At 2,050 meters above sea level, wonderful panoramic tours lead past the impressive rock towers of the Dolomites. The family-friendly hiking trails are particularly popular in summer due to their numerous play and adventure stations. In winter, the Plose is an extremely family-friendly ski area. The proximity to the episcopal town of Brixen is attractive at any time of year," says Franziska Sanoner from the host family.
Sustainable vacation home including a cuddly cave
This is precisely where the unique AKI Family Resort PLOSE is currently being built. As in the other ADLER Group hotels, sustainability and closeness to nature run through the concept of this special family hotel. It starts with the architecture: the building, with its 70 suites with at least two rooms each, has been embedded in the surrounding meadows and forests. Green roofs on the outside and high-quality natural materials on the inside create a playful sense of security.
