Berlin, September 4, 2025 - Following the successful soft opening in April 2025, Kalle Halle in Berlin-Neukölln is now opening with a diverse gastronomic offering in a unique design. Guests are welcomed to the spacious premises, which currently house seven restaurants, two pop-ups and a bar. The spectrum ranges from high-quality street food to accessible fine dining and is complemented by excellent drinks. The opening will be celebrated with three Saturdays full of activities and offers for the neighborhood and all interested parties. Kalle Halle sees itself as a platform for the neighborhood - a place where gastronomy, design and community come together and form a harmonious unit. A feel-good place that welcomes everyone.
"We have designed Kalle Halle as a place that doesn't feel like consumption, but like community. The focus is on coming together, spending time and feeling good. We want to be an enrichment for the neighborhood by reviving the premises, which were last empty, together with people from the neighborhood and all guests," says Martin Barry, founder of Kalle Halle.
Covering 2,300 square meters, the new food market brings together a total of twelve selected restaurants - seven of which are currently open - and two bars, as well as two pop-ups. Five more restaurants will follow. Kalle Halle offers a total of 660 seats to linger. There is also a versatile and spacious event area for a wide variety of events. The interior deliberately brings a cozy and feel-good ambience to the concrete structure, with carefully selected vintage pieces - raw, retro, cozy.
The gastronomic offer: from high-quality street food to accessible fine dining and creative drinks

Asian cuisine is served at CHEN'S BEEF NOODLE HOUSE, Berlin's first halal-certified restaurant for hand-pulled noodles and aromatic broths, and Earth Tokyo, the new ramen spot with strong broths, sophisticated toppings and handmade noodles inspired by Japanese omotenashi. MOIM, which combines traditional Korean cuisine with modern gastronomy, also has its origins in Asia. At KOJI, Berlin's first modern Japanese hand roll bar, crispy nori meets perfectly cooked rice and buttery fish of the highest quality. Spicy South Indian cuisine at Chettinad rounds off the offer. LAP Coffee and B-ICED Gelateria are available as pop-ups for gourmets. In the SOOT Bar, the menu ranges from specially created cocktails to natural wines and, in true down-to-earth Berlin style, BRLO craft beer. The second Dive-style bar with pool tables is dedicated to both private and public events and will open soon.
The ambience: urban design as a neighborhood within a neighborhood
The varied cuisine is embedded in an extraordinary design that invites you to linger, enjoy and also work. A place to meet and come together that combines retro elements with a contemporary sensibility. With vintage furniture from the Czech Republic and Germany, mid-century details and multi-layered spatial planning, Kalle Halle aims to become the dynamic new cultural anchor for Neukölln - a growing, vibrant Berlin neighborhood.
Opening activities: Three celebrations for the neighborhood
On three Saturdays, September 20 and 27, as well as one Saturday in October, the opening will be celebrated with days that celebrate the diversity of the restaurants. The event will kick off with "Asia Tisch", where everything will revolve around Asia and Asian cuisine, with workshops, music and activities for young and old and, of course, specialties from MOIM, KOJI, CHEN'S BEEF NOODLE HOUSE, Chettinad and Earth Tokyo, whose dishes underline the theme in terms of taste. The other themes and dates will be announced online.
Kalle Halle as a cultural event location in Neukölln
In addition to its culinary focus, Kalle Halle also aims to be a central location for events. In addition to comprehensive facilities for private events, the Kalle Halle will also become a space that invites you to unique public events that offer culture and entertainment. To kick things off, the vintage market "Britney Market" will take place on October 18. Kalle Halle has chosen the successful Parisian concept for its first German event, where visitors can look forward to fashion from the 1990s and 2000s, tattoo pop-ups and a party atmosphere.
