Imst/Tyrol, July 2025: On August 23, 2025, the outdoor region of Imst will be the venue for a true "dream match": Selected players from the "Red Eagles Austria" fan club will compete against the stars of FC Bayern Munich. The region, which impresses with sporting activities, a wide range of offers for all ages and untouched nature as far as the eye can see, is all about soccer on this day. The "dream match" will be played in the Gurgltal Stadium - the Velly Arena Tirol. The capacity will be increased from just under 1500 spectators to 5000. A colorful program around the game with amusement park, half-time show and DJ makes the day a special highlight.
"Red Eagles Austria" bring the "Dream Game" to Imst for the anniversary
Under the title "Dream Match", official fan clubs of FC Bayern Munich can submit an application and vie for the favor of playing against "their" soccer stars. This year, the "Red Eagles Austria", the fan club from Imst with over 1600 members, won the bid. The result: the 13th "dream match" will take place in Imst, in the year of FC Bayern Munich's 125th club anniversary.
The day of the event: excitement on the pitch and fun in the stands
The eventful day, which will wrap the outdoor region of Imst entirely in the club and fan color red, starts at 10 a.m. when the event grounds open. Numerous attractions await visitors to the club grounds. From around 10:30 a.m., the ceremonial fan march from the town square in Imst to the event location will take place, before kick-off at 3 p.m. and the excitement builds. Will the members of "Red Eagles Austria" be able to prevail against the soccer greats? The half-time show with the "POWERband Tirol - die Inklusionsband" promises entertainment for the spectators while the players recover. Musical entertainment is also provided after the game with a music set by Ö3 DJ "DJ F.A.B.M.". The exciting day will come to a fitting end at a smaller after-show party.
