From your own Garden of Eden

heavenly enjoyment at Ess:enz im Puradies

Leogang/AT, May 2025: From summer 2025, Puradies in Leogang will have its own kitchen garden to ensure even more freshness on the plate. The consistent further development of the previous "Garden of Eating" philosophy will take guests at the hotel's own gourmet restaurant Ess:enz to new culinary peaks.

Nestled in the gentle natural backdrop of the Leogang mountains, Puradies itself is a true Garden of Eden: a refuge where naturalness, alpine culture and casual lifestyle merge. Between crystal-clear mountain air, sun-kissed meadows and tranquil forests, the sustainable nature resort with the seductive Heaven Spa and its exclusive chalets and suites offers an incomparable place for connoisseurs.

Indulgence rooted in paradise
Cuisine is an important part of a larger, natural cycle here. The treasures of nature are reflected in every detail of the hotel's own gourmet restaurant Ess:enz: in the ambience, on the plates and, of course, on the palate. The multi-award-winning restaurant - including a Gault&Millau toque and three Falstaff forks - impresses with its uncompromising quality and creative clarity. Inspired by the philosophy of the "Garden of Eating", head chef David Gutierrez makes the seasons just as tasty as the unique region of Salzburger Land. The "Garden of Eating" is a practiced approach to nutrition: sustainable, close to nature, authentic. It is about appreciating food in all its originality, from root to flower, from the farm to the heart.

Gourmet trips from Leogang to Istria
At Ess:enz, David Gutierrez combines the original power of nature with fine culinary craftsmanship. His aim is to serve a wealth of flavors in a contemporary, honest way. The cuisine is deliberately diverse: vegetarian, vegan, with meat or fish from the region, with respect for the product and for the people. Each dish is an invitation to a light-footed gourmet journey, from "ingeniously regional" to "Mediterranean love". The award-winning design also follows this claim: with clear architecture, warm materials and an atmosphere that focuses on encounters, exchange and enjoyment.

The Ess:enz gets its own Garden of Eden
From summer 2025, Puradies will set a new milestone in its philosophy of indulgence: A large, hotel-owned garden will be created directly at the resort, where crisp, fresh vegetables, fragrant wild herbs and juicy, sweet fruits will thrive for our own use. "With our new Garden of Eden, we are creating even more proximity to nature and our products. This allows us to offer our guests authenticity that they can taste," explains host Michael Madreiter. "It couldn't be more regional, fresh and sustainable. The journey from the field to the plate is shorter than ever! Guests can look forward to seasonal, creative menus that literally come from our own paradise."

Culinary highlight: Four Hands Dinner with Björn Swanson
In June, a midsummer night's dream comes true at Ess:enz! That's when 2 toques, 92 Fallstaff points and three Fallstaff forks meet the shining star of Berlin gastronomy icon Björn Swanson. Together with David Gutierrez and his team, the renowned German-American star chef Swanson will celebrate and serve a special culinary surprise on this year's midsummer, June 20 and 21, 2025. Swanson, whose Berlin restaurant faelt has been awarded a Michelin star, will join forces with Gutierrez to present a series of exceptional dishes created from the best regional ingredients as part of an exclusive Four Hands Pairing. A culinary "match made in heaven" for the guests of Ess:enz.
