New opening in Berlin-Charlottenburg

Le Consulat combines Parisian savoir-vivre with Berlin down-to-earthness

Berlin, January 2024: In Berlin's Leibnizstraße, not far from Kurfürstendamm and Savignyplatz, the new "Le Consulat" combines French elegance with Berlin down-to-earthness in a new interpretation. The French bistro-style restaurant is an invitation to enjoy and indulge in light opulence - savoir-vivre "at its best". A sophisticated atmosphere meets unconstrained coziness, bringing Parisian flair with capital city nonchalance to the west of Berlin. The selected menu describes small poems on the plates, which are finely tuned to please the eye. The food here is home-style, with the emphasis on good.

The exquisite wines and drinks on the granite and wooden tables are also visually harmonious companions, while guests lean back and relax in the comfortable armchairs, benches and chairs. Every creation in the glasses and on the plates, every corner of the interior design testifies to the fact that Le Consulat is a place of well-being and indulgence. The soft opening took place in mid-December 2023, with regular opening from 1.1.2024, daily from 5 pm. From 15.1.2024, lunch will also be offered from 12 noon, with a daily changing menu, including vegetarian options.

Down-to-earth and elegant at the same time, home-style, with a new look. Inspired by the Parisian way of life and firmly rooted in Charlottenburg, we live the bistro flair: all guests are welcome here in an informal setting," says Vinotharan Inparajah, owner.

The blue neon sign on the front door of the former Leibniz-Klause sets a deliberate accent in the midst of Charlottenburg's magnificent facades. Inside, Le Consulat welcomes guests with a harmonious blend of soft green, elegant petrol and gold accents, granite and wood. The interior design is stylishly elegant. Sophisticated, but without being ostentatious. Botanical pictures adorn the walls and lend a natural lightness. Stylish lamps have been used to create pleasant lighting that radiates coziness from the outside through the generous window fronts - especially in the gray Berlin winter.

French cuisine with Berlin sophistication
At Le Consulat, exquisite starters such as "Poireaux au four" and "Soupe aux Topinambours" meet selected main courses, from ragout of Flemish venison to "Poulet à la crème" and scallops with mashed potatoes à la bressane. The dessert creations "sous-vide apple" and lemon sorbet with cookie crumble, prosecco sabayone with meringue shards and deep-fried mint leaves harmoniously round off the menu. The dishes, which are inspired by French cuisine and refined with local ingredients, are accompanied by the hand-picked wine and champagne list.

Location: Le Consulat, Leibnizstraße 46, 10629 Berlin, open daily from 5 p.m.
