From the scrapyard to the gallery: around 300 tons of scrap metal have been given a new lease of life at the Gallery of Steel Figures Berlin. 50 objects, each weighing up to 1000 kilograms and measuring up to almost 4 meters tall - including mythical creatures, icons, car robots and luxury cars - were created by 120 artists from discarded parts of airplanes, cars, watches and machines in sweaty manual work.
After the opening of the first gallery in Pruszkow in 2011, Warsaw and Prague followed. The steel objects can now be experienced at a fourth location in Berlin Unter den Linden 14.
